Lonnie Pearson, 69, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at his home.
He was born Sept. 10, 1944 in Commerce, Mo., to the late Woodrow and Lillie Allen Pearson.
Lonnie served in the U.S. Army and retired after 22 years as a security guard at the federal prison in Marion, Ill.
He is survived by eight siblings, Larry (Helen) Pearson of Baton Rouge, La., Jimmy (Bobbie) Pearson of Goose Creek, S.C., Terry( Dianna) Pearson of Cincinnati, Linda Williamson of Sikeston, Mo., Evelyn Brown of Shipman, Ill., Barbara (Joseph) Blissett of Bowling Green, Ky., Joyce Pearson of Sikeston and Beverly Pearson of Moriston, Mo.; special niece and nephew, Portia and Alex Pearson, and a host of other nieces and nephews; lifelong sweetheart, Armentha Butler of Tamms, Ill.; special children, Amir, Rayne and Raven.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Floyd, Bobby and Ernest Pearson.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
Burial will follow immediately with full military rites at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
