Lonnie Harris, 65, of Delta passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2012.
He was born in Dutchtown on Dec. 5, 1946, to the late Laurel Samuel and Artimis Driskell Harris.
Lonnie worked as a first mate and had more than 40 years of experience with United Barge Lines in Metropolis, Ill.
He married Loretta Keller on June 6, 1981, and she survives of the home. They attended Cape First in Cape Girardeau.
Other survivors include his daughter, Rebecca Marburger of Mt. Olive, Ill.; three stepsons, Paul, Jim and John Keller, all of Chaffee, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Brenda McClard of Chaffee and Linda Keller Pace of Jackson; two sisters, Catherine Holder and Carolyn Jobe, both of Scott City; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Lonnie was preceded in death by a son, Sam Harris; a granddaughter, Brandy Keller; and a brother-in-law, Eugene Holder.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Owens officiating.
Burial will be at the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, Mo.
