OAK RIDGE, Mo. — On Feb. 22, 2009, Lonnie Theodore Grebe, 70, of Oak Ridge was called home by our heavenly father after a long battle with lung and heart disease.

He was born Oct. 12, 1938, to Albert and Laura Veach Grebe of Oak Ridge. He and Shirley Hahs were married Sept. 28, 1958, at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church.

Lonnie was a self-employed farmer in the Oak Ridge area. He was a member of the Oak Ridge United Methodist Church and had served on the Oak Ridge school board.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Grebe of Oak Ridge; three daughters, Sandra (Todd) Rhodes of Wildwood, Mo., Penny Myers of Oak Ridge and Vicki Grebe of Jackson; brother-in-law, Larry (Dorothy) Hahs; sister-in-law, Vanita Hahs; three nephews and their families; and four grandchildren, Jacob Rhodes and Lexie, Tiffany and Dillion Myers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Lonnie Joe and Terry Dean, and a granddaughter, Michaela Rhodes.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson, and 12:30 p.m. to time of service Tuesday at New Salem United Methodist Church in Daisy.

The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. at the church, with the Revs. Janet Hopkins and Roger Rice officiating. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to New Salem Cemetery or Oak Ridge United Methodist Church.
