MULVANE, Kan. -- Lonnie Dean Busher, 63, of Mulvane, formerly of Scott City, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born July 21, 1952, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Frank W. and Mattie M. Gore Busher.

Lonnie went to Jackson High School.

He served in the Army in Korea and Germany. He received the National Defense Medal and was designated an M14 Expert and M16 Sharpshooter.

He moved to Kansas in 2003, where he was an auto body repairman for his brother's company in Wichita, Professional Body Works.

Survivors include a sister, Lula Rhyne of Friedheim.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Edward, Julius and Alvin F. Busher.

There will be a graveside funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Missouri Honors Team.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
