PERRYVILLE -- Funeral service for Lon L. Hayden of Perryville was held Monday at Christ the Savior Catholic Church at Brewer. The Rev. Felipe Martinez officiated, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Drayton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Hayden, 100 years old, died Friday, Dec. 7, 1990, at Missouri Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon.

He was born Jan. 6, 1890, in Perry County, son of George A. and Mary Elizabeth Brewer Hayden. He married the former Mary Lunette Brewer Oct. 17, 1910, in Perryville. She preceded him in death.

Hayden was a retired farmer.

Survivors include two daughters, Elinor Greminger and Mary Greminger of Ste. Genevieve; six sons, Edward, Aloysius, Bertrand, Chalmer, Joseph and Donald Hayden, all of Perryville; 48 grandchildren; 118 great-grandchildren, and 49 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters.
