VANDUSER -- Lola Mae McAllister Poston, 84, of Vanduser died Friday, Aug. 9, 1996, at her home.
She was born Feb. 18, 1912, in Sikeston to Perry and Donie Meyers Ward.
She married Joseph Herbert McAllister, who died in 1956. She later married the Rev. Bert Lee Poston, who died July 22, 1987.
She was a member of the Vanduser Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons: Joe McAllister of Cape Girardeau and Bill McAllister of Merced, Calif.; four daughters: Jane Poston of Whitewater; Sharron Kendzora of Atwater, Calif.; Ruth Bowerman of Hesperia, Calif.; and Shirley Orf of Spanish Lake; one brother, John L. Ward of Vanduser; two sisters: Kathleen Willis of East Prairie and Rozella Becker of Pekin, Ill; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Marvin Graham, pastor of the Vanduser Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the New St. Marcus Cemetery in St. Louis.
