EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Lola Margrett "Sis" Grogan of East Prairie will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. The Rev. George White will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
Grogan, 74, died Tuesday, May 11, 1993, at her home.
She was born April 16, 1919, at Dorena, daughter of Charles Claude and Daisy Nellie Walker Brown. She married Edward S. Grogan Oct. 5, 1934. He died Oct. 13, 1984.
Survivors include three sons, James Grogan of East Prairie, Jerry and Randy Grogan of Charleston; five daughters, Joyce Ellis of Angleton, Texas, Nellie Oliver of Charleston, Edna Bess of Bertrand, Brenda Oatsvall and Shirley Brown of East Prairie; a half brother, William Brown of East Prairie; two half sisters, Bessie Grogan of Dorena, Janie Allison of Brawley, Calif.; 18 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, five brothers, a sister, grandson and great-grandson.
