MOREHOUSE -- Lola M. Griffin, 85, of Morehouse died Sunday, Dec. 29, 1996, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born Sept. 7, 1911, in Callao, daughter of Clarence and Dona Jane Taylor Cavins. MOREHOUSE -- Lola M. Griffin, 85, of Morehouse died Sunday, Dec. 29, 1996, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Sept. 7, 1911, in Callao, daughter of Clarence and Dona Jane Taylor Cavins. She was a retired employee of the Elders Manufacturing Plant in Dexter, a member of the First Baptist Church of Morehouse and the Rebekah Lodge of Sikeston.

She married Lewis Samuel Griffin on April 4, 1932, in Morehouse. He died Jan. 8, 1989.

She is survived by four sisters, Lela Hileman of Morehouse, Beulah Davis of Granite City, Ill., and Alta Ellison and Clella Reed, both of Sikeston.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dolan Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
