Lola Mae Cameron, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, June 17, 1998, at her home.
She was born May 30, 1916, in Centralia, Ill., daughter of William Alan and Grace Edna Krupp Weatherford. She and Louis N. Cameron were married Feb. 13, 1937, in St. Louis. He died Jan. 25, 1986.
Cameron moved to Cape Girardeau five years ago from St. Louis. She was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church and active at Cape Senior Center.
She had worked at Worth's Clothing Store, Famous-Barr, Fred Harvey's Restaurant, and in maintenance at Rossman School. She was active in the South County Mall Walkers.
Survivors include two daughters, Pat Cameron and Diane Bright of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Clifford Weatherford of St. Louis; three sisters, Barbara Benge of Fairborn, Ohio, Dorothy Brashear of Springfield, Ruby Scheid of Ironton; two grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Gary Belcher officiating. A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. at Lakewood Park Cemetery in Affton.
