Lois Leadbetter

SILEX, Mo. -- Lois J. Leadbetter, 81, of Silex passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at the Elsberry Health Care Center in Elsberry, Missouri.

She was born Jan. 29, 1937, at Advance, Missouri, the daughter of Raymond and Fern Crites Simmers. Lois and Hobert Leadbetter were united in marriage May 17, 1955, at Sardis, Mississippi, and he preceded her in death Aug. 20, 2004.

Lois had been a homemaker. She was a member of Silex Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a son, Carl (Barb) Leadbetter of Troy, Missouri; three daughters, Theresa (Alan) Pruyn and Carla (Brett) Myers, both of Silex, and Felesia (Chris) Spears of Chesterfield, Missouri; a brother, Rick Simmers of Advance; two sisters, Louise Kidd of Zalma, Missouri, and Debbie Smith of Advance; a son-in-law, Bill Rock of Bellefour, Missouri; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lisa Rock; two brothers; and a granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kenny Gamble officiating. Burial will follow at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
