Funeral service for Lois Jeanette Middlebrook, 514 Amethyst, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. James AME Church. The Rev. Simon Perkins will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from 6-8 p.m. today.
Algee Memorial Chapel in Cairo, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
Middlebrook, 76, died Monday, May 16, 1994, at her home.
She was born Feb. 5, 1918, in Jackson, daughter of Fred and Sadie Nance. She married Dolphus T. Middlebrook, who preceded her in death.
Middlebrook taught school several years, and also worked more than 30 years at the former Libson Shops here. She was a member of St. James Church and its choir, Steward Board and Mother's Board, and Successful Homemakers.
Survivors include two nephews, Ronald Staten of Jackson, and Carlton Staten of Plymouth, Mich.
