She was born April 16, 1923, in Cape Girardeau, to Truman E. and Irene M. Ehrenschneider Gladish. She and Everett Emro Farmer were married June 12, 1947, in Cape Girardeau. KENNETT, Mo. -- Lois G. Farmer, 89, of Kennett departed this life Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 16, 1923, in Cape Girardeau, to Truman E. and Irene M. Ehrenschneider Gladish. She and Everett Emro Farmer were married June 12, 1947, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death June 2, 2012.

Survivors include two sons, Steven J. Farmer of Dyersburg, Tenn., Mark E. Farmer of Cape Girardeau; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim Dallas Gladish, Ralph Russell Gladish (at 3 months old), and Robert Don Gladish.

Lois was a retired elementary teacher from Kennett Public Schools. She was a member of PEO, Dunklin Historical Society and First Christian Church.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to service time Friday at First Christian Church in Kennett.

The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. David Everton officiating. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Britt, Jim Storey, Joe Farmer, Tommy Kelley and Rick Geringer.

McDaniel Funeral Service in Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
