Lois E. Campbell, 97, of Knoxville, Tenn., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at Shannondale Health Care Center in Knoxville.
She was born Nov. 5, 1910, in White County, Ill., daughter of Ben and Maude Spence Healy. She and Herman L. Campbell were married Oct. 22, 1933, in Nashville, Ill. He died Oct. 30, 1994.
Campbell was a secretary at Southeast Missouri Hospital and later secretary in the registrar's office at Southeast Missouri State University. She was a member of First Baptist Church and its Naomi Sunday School Class and Richardson Missionary Group, and charter member of the former Navy Mothers Club of Cape Girardeau.
She moved to Knoxville in 1995 from Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a son, Bennie Campbell of Knoxville; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a niece.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to service time Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike Shupert officiating.
Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
