McCLURE, Ill. -- Lois E. Burchyett, 89, of McClure died Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born May 1, 1928, in McClure to Jess and Jenny Murphy Colyer. She graduated from McClure High School. She and Raymond Howard "Bud" Burchyett were married March 25, 1945, at Blytheville, Arkansas. He passed away Feb. 20, 2013...

McCLURE, Ill. -- Lois E. Burchyett, 89, of McClure died Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 1, 1928, in McClure to Jess and Jenny Murphy Colyer.

She graduated from McClure High School.

She and Raymond Howard "Bud" Burchyett were married March 25, 1945, at Blytheville, Arkansas. He passed away Feb. 20, 2013.

Lois was a nurse's aide at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of McClure.

Survivors include three daughters, Gloria (Kenny) Merriman of Cape Girardeau, Joan (John) Kellogg of Arthur, Illinois, and Sheri (Robert) Moses of Tallin, Estonia; three sons, Brad (Audrey) Burchyett of Tonganoxie, Kansas, Terry (Rhonda) Burchyett of Thompson Station, Tennessee, and Mark (Jan) Burchyett of San Marcos, California; a brother, Marvin Colyer of Farmington, Missouri; a sister, Reatha Forgerty of Kirkwood, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Greg Morrison officiating Burial will be at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or the Lindsey Cemetery Association
