CHAFFEE -- Lodis Virginia Davenport, 74, of Chaffee, died Thursday, May 4, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Malden, daughter of John and Clara Mabel Kincade Loucks. She and Glen Amon Davenport were married Oct. 17, 1953. He died Dec. 14, 1987.
Davenport was a charter member of Eagles Auxiliary 3775 in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Gateley of Gravel Hill, Dan Davenport of Oak Ridge; six daughters, Jackie Martin and Jeri Eichhorn of Scott City, JoAnn Sells of Dexter, Kathy Chaney of Chaffee, Sandra Mertz of Cape Girardeau, Pamela Davenport of Thebes, Ill.; a stepson, Vernon Davenport of Gravel Hill; two stepdaughters, Glenda Adams and Ladine Gateley of Gravel Hill; a brother, Lester Loucks of Norman, Okla.; two sisters, Edith Kinder and Dwana McCallister of Chaffee; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren, and 14 great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandson.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. today. An Eagles service will be held at 7.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. William Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
