ANNA, Ill. -- Lloyd E. Sitter, 70, of Anna died Sunday, Oct. 24, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Aug. 29, 1929, in Anna, son of L. Oard and Beulah Rendleman Sitter. He and JoAnn Gollon were married April 30, 1955. She died July 5, 1993...

ANNA, Ill. -- Lloyd E. Sitter, 70, of Anna died Sunday, Oct. 24, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 29, 1929, in Anna, son of L. Oard and Beulah Rendleman Sitter. He and JoAnn Gollon were married April 30, 1955. She died July 5, 1993.

Sitter was an auctioneer in the tri-state area more than 50 years. He served three terms as coroner in Union County.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Ducks Unlimited, Illinois Auctioneers Association, and served on Anna State Bank Board of Directors.

Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth Peadro of Sullivan; and a friend, Tirzah Tweedy of Anna.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Shacklee officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
