COBDEN, Ill. -- Lloyd Pennington, 71, of Cobden, died Tuesday, June 4, 1996, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
He was born Feb. 15, 1925, at Parma, son of William and Sadie Ethel Johnson Pennington. He and Cona Jean Hays were married Nov. 7, 1943, at Malden, Mo.
Formerly of McClure, Pennington was a retired welder.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Loretta Walls of Cobden, Sharon Bloodworth of Effingham; three sisters, Goldie Glover and Lucille McElrath of Malden, Delores Everman of Mt. Morris, Mich.; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two half sisters.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.
Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home of Anna is in charge of arrangements.
