SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Lloyd Lee Ogan, 87, of Sedgewickville died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at his home.
He was born June 6, 1914, at Leopolis, Mo., son of Ira and Mary C. Pearson Ogan. He and Zelma Wisehaupt were married Dec. 24, 1936. She preceded him in death in June 1962. He married Melva Kissinger in April 1972. She died in March 1990.
Mr. Ogan was a member of Sedgewickville United Methodist Church and was active all his life with youth groups in the United Methodist Church, was a past member of Sikeston Rotary Club, and had been active with Boy and Girl Scouts in Missouri and earned many awards.
He served with the U.S. Army combat engineers in the South Pacific during World War II.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Deanna "Dee" and Kenneth Cowell of Sedgewickville; grandchildren, David and Angie Cowell, Troy Cowell, Chuck and Janet Ogan, Art and Pat Ogan Brown; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Kayce Cowell, Charles, Ashley, Ryan and Elijah Ogan, and Daniel Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Larry Ogan; two brothers and a sister.
There is no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Southeast Hospice.
