CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Lloyd V. Hinton, 60, of Chaffee died Friday, July 14, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 11, 1939, in Willits, Calif., son of Lloyd Ben and Theola Pock Hinton. He and Patsy Shepard were married Aug. 11, 1963, in Reno, Nev.
Hinton was a reserve officer with Willits Police Department 13 years. He was a founding member of Shifter's Car Club in Willits.
He had been a diesel mechanic with Southern Pacific Railroad. He was a supervisor with Blair Industries in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 1994.
Hinton served in the U.S. Navy from 1955-57.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Craig Hinton of Ukiah, Calif., Gary and Sean Hinton of Chaffee; a daughter, Wendy Hinton of Scott City, Mo.; and his mother of Willits.
Also surviving are three brothers, Michael Hinton of Santa Rosa, Calif., Chuck Seaton of Glendale, Ariz., Eddie Seaton of Willits; three sisters, Linda Kopman of Las Vegas, Nev., Dian Rice and Patty Branson of Willits; and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at the family home from 2-5 p.m. Saturday.
There will be no service.
Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
