SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Lloyd John Corvick, Sr., 74, of Scott City died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at his home.
He was born June 2, 1928, in Fornfelt, Mo., son of William and Victoria Kern Corvick. He and Helen L. Webb were married March 5, 1948, at Fornfelt.
Lloyd retired as a Repeater man with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He served in the U. S. Marines Corps, was a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts, a member of the SEMO Radio Club and Ramsey's Rangers Black Powder Club. He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Marlene Gregory of Oran, Mo., and Arlene Hartle of Virginia Beach, Va.; a daughter-in-law, Michelle Corvick of Scott City; two sisters, LaVerne Rogers and Darlene DeLong, both of Kelso, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Rachel Hardesty, Stacey Kirkpatrick, Stephanie Davis, John and Matthew Hartle, Erin Guenther and Amy Corvick; two step-grandsons, Brandon and Matthew Drury; and nine great-grandsons.
His parents; a son, John Corvick; a daughter, Darlene Corvick; a stillborn daughter; a brother; and three sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral services will be at the chapel Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
