DAYTON, Ohio -- Lloyd Waner Cooper, 82, of Dayton passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, in the comfort of his home.
He was born Nov. 18, 1940, in Zalma, Missouri, to the late Comfort and Hadley Cooper.
Lloyd graduated from Arkansas State University. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and civil service for 29 years at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. During his active service, he was a Minuteman Missileer in Minot, North Dakota.
He loved his six dogs, Darby, Tucker, Baxter, Casey, Bentley and Abby, and his John Deere tractors.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Linda Cooper; daughters, Kelly (Greg) Haskell and Kristi Cooper; sisters, Eloise (Don) Reeves and Sharon Jackson; and brother, Terry Cooper.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Shannon (Angela) Cooper.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 8, with service immediately following, all at Newcomer Funeral Home-North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road in Dayton. Lloyd will be laid to rest in Dayton National Cemetery.
