James Lloyd Chapman, 73, 330 Edgewood, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Advance, son of Walter Dewitt and Anna Hedge Chapman. He and Marilyn Lee Sealey were married Oct. 9, 1946, in Cape Girardeau.
Chapman worked 35 years at Missouri Utilities/Union Electric. He was a member of First Baptist Church, St. Mark's Masonic Lodge 93, and had been a volunteer at St. Francis Medical Center, Kies Eye Center, and with FISH.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter Cara Thompson of Kelso; two brothers, Calvin Chapman of Cape Girardeau, Kenneth Chapman of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Verna Trickey of Jonesboro, Ark., Betty Ramsey of Cape Girardeau; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. John Owen officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
