ANNA, Ill. -- Lloyd J. Carstens, 75, of Anna died Monday, March 3, 1997, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Sept. 18, 1921, in Peotone, son of Walter and Olga Knickerom Carstens. He and E. Maxine Holcomb were married July 1, 1969.
Carstens was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Amvets, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and American Legion.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry Stanley of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Barbara Jungles of Naperville; three stepsons, Ron Holcomb of Anna, Barry and James Holcomb of Dongola; a sister, Elaine Starzyk of Kissimmee, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery, with graveside rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna.
