DEXTER -- Joint funeral service for Lisa Von Ruedgisch of Dexter, and her nephew, Charles Hammett Jr. of High Ridge, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Roger Losch will officiate, with burial in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

Von Ruedgisch, 22, and Hammett, 27 days, died from injuries received in a car accident Saturday, March 12, 1994, in Vienna, Ill.

Von Ruedgisch was born Aug. 19, 1971, in St. Louis, daughter of Leonard and Sandra Hagy Bayless. She and Jerry Von Ruedgisch were married June 12, 1993.

She had lived in Dexter most of her life, and was a member of Dudley Church of God.

Survivors include her husband; a son and daughter, Rex and LaGina Bayless of Dexter; her mother and stepfather, Sandra and William Conley of High Ridge; five brothers, James and Alfred Hagy, Tommy, Willie and Estel Bequette of St. Louis; a sister, Deanna Bayless of High Ridge, and maternal grandparents, John and Beatrice Hagy of Dudley.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and her father.

The infant was born Feb. 13, 1994, in Cookeville, Tenn., son of Charles D. Hammett and Deanna Bayless of High Ridge.

Survivors include his parents; a sister, Tonya Hammett of the home; maternal grandparents, Sandra and William Conley of High Ridge; paternal grandparents, Dorothy Gray of New Orleans, La., Dennes Hammett of St. Louis, and maternal great-grandparents, John and Beatrice Hagy of Dudley.
