PERRYVILLE -- Linus L. "Red" Dow, 75, of Perryville, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 1995, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 16, 1919, in Jackson, son of Glen and Nettie Mae Morton Dow. He and Edna G. Weinrich were married April 20, 1941. Dow was a retired maintenance foreman with International Shoe Co. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 133 and VFW Post 4282. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II...

PERRYVILLE -- Linus L. "Red" Dow, 75, of Perryville, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 1995, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 16, 1919, in Jackson, son of Glen and Nettie Mae Morton Dow. He and Edna G. Weinrich were married April 20, 1941.

Dow was a retired maintenance foreman with International Shoe Co. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 133 and VFW Post 4282. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Edward Dow of Cape Girardeau, Wanda Hunt of Perryville; two stepbrothers, Pervis Henry of Perryville, LeRoy Henry of Festus; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and on Sunday from 6:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. A VFW wake will be held at 7:30 tonight.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Immanuel Church, with the Rev. Donald Loesch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
