COMMERCE, Mo. -- Linus E. "Bud" Huck, 86, of Commerce died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 9, 1915, at Crystal City, Mo., son of George W. and Ilma Baumstark Huck. He and Ann Alice Foster were married Oct. 3, 1936, in Fairfield, Ill.
Huck was a captain on a riverboat with U.S. Steel. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church at Commerce, H.O. Grauel Masonic Lodge 672 in Cape Girardeau, and Capaha Scottish Rite Club of Southeast Missouri.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Linus F. "Bud" Huck of Jackson, Mo.; two daughters, George Ann Huck of Merida, Mexico, Lois Lee Ramsey of Commerce; a sister, Georgia Becequette of Crystal City; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, Mo., after 5 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Larry Lawman officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce.
