MARBLE HILL -- Linder S. Green, 76, of Piedmont died Sunday, March 9, 1997, at Harry S Truman VA Medical Center in Columbia.

He was born March 31, 1920, at Patton, son of Walter C. and Minta Starkey Green. He and Marjorie B. Farnsworth were married Aug. 17, 1940.

Green retired as a commercial serviceman with Missouri Utilities Co. He was a member of Plainview Congregational Methodist Church, Excelsior Masonic Lodge 441 at Jackson, and 32nd Degree member of Scottish Rite in St. Louis. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, James Green; three daughters, Florence Hurst, Ruth Hipple, Linda Lumley; a sister, Leona Besher; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 5-8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Huff officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Community Cemetery near Marble Hill.
