MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Lindell Joy Myers Sr., 71, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at his home.
He was born Dec. 26, 1935, son of Walter and Eva Jordan Myers. He and Hester Francis were married in November 1953. She died in June 1981. He later married Christene Hill April 17, 1982.
Myers had been a repairman.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Lindell Myers Jr. of Longview, Texas, William Myers of Glenallen, Mo., Melvin Dockins of Wittenburg, Wis.; four daughters, Barb Spangler of DeSoto, Mo., Connie Beel and Melvina Dockins of Marble Hill, Darlene Dirnberger of Oran, Mo.; three sisters, Joanie Hanners and Anna Ireland of Marble Hill, Charlotte Hays of Leadington, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, twin daughters, two brothers, two sisters, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gene Robbins and Lee Myers officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery, with military honors provided by VFW Post 5900.
