Linda Sue Williams, 59, of Jackson passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 20, 1957, in St. Louis, to Edward and Verneal Ruttler Dunsworth.
Linda and George, the true love of her life, spent many wonderful years together. They enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing and just being together. Linda was generous, fun-loving and kind-spirited. She never knew a stranger and would give you the shirt off her back. She lovingly shared her home with her children and their friends, who all called her "Mom." She cherished her family and enjoyed making loving memories while spending time with them.
Loving survivors include her husband, George Pentecost of Jackson; four daughters, Jennifer (Kevin) Rice of Hillsboro, Missouri, Laurie (Willie) Wyninegar and Pamela (Allen) Hamor of St. Louis and Becky (Jeremy) King of Jackson; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Dunsworth of St. Louis; and nieces and nephews too numerous to count.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Jean, Nancy, Daniel and James.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, with the Rev. Tim Lee officiating.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting mccombsfuneralhome.com.
