Linda Tankersley

Linda L. Tankersley, daughter of James and Lydia Story Hogg, was born Sept. 6, 1942, in Cape Girardeau and departed her life Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau at the age of 81 years.

She graduated from Bell City High School in 1960. She was a homemaker, a member of Perkins Baptist Church and a resident of Perkins.

On May 19, 1961, Linda was united in marriage to Jerry Edward Tankersley. He preceded her in death Oct. 27, 2017.

Survivors include one son, Randy (Trina) Tankersley of Perkins; daughter, Angela (Ed) Moncada of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Lydia, Katlyn and Brandon; and other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband and parents, Linda was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, at the funeral home, with Ed Moncada and Danny Tankersley officiating. Interment will follow in Williams Cemetery in Perkins.
