FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- Linda Sue Propst, 60, formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at the Stockoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown, where she resided since September 2016 due to a short bout with cancer.

Sue was born April 21, 1956, in Cape Girardeau to Howard "Dick" Monroe Propst, who passed away Oct. 12, 1991, and Ruby Pauline Stanfill Propst, who passed away Oct. 13, 2016.

Sue worked for 30 years at Thorngate Manufacturing, but to her family she was best known for her famous sugar cookies. Christmases, baby showers and birthdays will never quite be the same.

She is survived by her brother, Glenwood (Edith) Propst of Patton, Missouri; sister, Shirley (Howard) Seabaugh of Foristell, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Randy (Cindy) Propst of Cape Girardeau, Tammy (Richard) VanGennip of Marble Hill, Missouri, Tina (Scott) Henderson of Fredericktown, Gay (Paul) Sugar of St. Charles, Missouri, Scott Seabaugh of Foristell and Cheri Seabaugh of Wentzville, Missouri; and great-nieces and -nephews, Amber (Joey) Beard and Tyler (Laura) Propst of Jackson, Trevor Propst of Cape Girardeau, Drew (Faith) Henderson and Riley Henderson of Fredericktown, Jessica (Neil) Flannigan of St. Charles, Mikayla Seabaugh and Dillion Seabaugh of Foristell and Alayna Seabaugh of Wentzville; and great-great-nieces and -nephews, Brady, August and Halle Beard of Jackson, Addilyn Henderson of Fredericktown and Brandon and Reed Flannigan of St. Charles.

Preceding her in death was her sister, Sharon, who was her No. 1 traveling companion. Together, they enjoyed many cruises along with many other trips. Also preceding her in death were her brother, Larry; niece, Kim Henry; and great-great-niece, Ellie Beard.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David McCutcheon and pastor Roger Cary officiating. Burial will be at Patton Cemetery in Patton,.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Serenity Hospice, c/o Mineral Area College, P.O. Box 1000, Park Hills, MO 63601.
