ZALMA, Mo. -- God called a beautiful angel, Linda J. Scott, 58, of Zalma home Sunday, May 13, 2012. She passed away at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Nov. 12, 1953, at Dexter, Mo., to the late Herbert and Mary Lorretta Edwards Burton. She married Larry Scott on Aug. 6, 1995.

Linda was a caretaker at Sikeston Regional Center 23 years. She was a member at Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Sturdivant, Mo.

Survivors include her husband, Larry of Zalma; a daughter, Crystal Loretta Andrews of Chaffee, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Suzann Scott of Sikeston, Mo.; two brothers, Hubert Burton of Chaffee, Stevie Burton of Morley, Mo.; three sisters, Carolyn Coram of Lowndes, Mo., Debbie Essner of Jackson, Lorie Daniels of Lowndes; five grandchildren, Leeanna Hillyard Pugh, Savanna Hart, Emma Andrews, Shelton Scott and Bradly King.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Dusty Hart.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Apostolic Pentecostal Church.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Dale Holman officiating. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.
