CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Linda Susan Lewis, 64, of Barnhart, Mo., passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Festus Manor in Festus, Mo.
She was born March 9, 1949, in St. Louis, to Melvin E. and Virginia M. Duncan Lewis.
Linda was a medical secretary at Mount Saint Rose Hospital in St. Louis before becoming disabled. She was an avid reader having read thousands of books. She loved to be around her family and had a special relationship with her grandmother, Alice.
Survivors include her father, Melvin E. Lewis of Chaffee; three brothers, James E. (Sharon) Lewis of Park Hills, Mo., the Rev. Robert D. (Debbie) Lewis of Chaffee, Richard D. (Denise) Lewis of Imperial, Mo.; a sister, Barbara A. Lewis of De Soto, Mo.; numerous nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her mother, and her special grandmother, Alice Duncan.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service Monday at the General Baptist Church in Chaffee.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church, with Bob Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Rockhill Cemetery at Puxico, Mo.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
