Linda Lou Hale, 61, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at St. Louis University Hospital.

She was born Aug. 23, 1949, in Southeast Missouri, daughter of Lucille Smith-Singleton and Lloyd B. Moss.

Linda attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School and Central High School. She completed respiratory therapy training in 1981 at the Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center.

She and Dennis W. Hale were married Oct. 9, 1993.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis; two daughters, Loretta (Tim) Kincaid of Jackson, Paula (Scott) McCormack of Cape Girardeau; a son, Jason Singleton of Bonne Terre, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Marlena (Justin) Sadler of Chaffee, Mo.; a brother, Ron (Teresa) Moss of Springfield, Mo.; a sister, Peggy Bernadine (Dennis) Akins of Bloomfield, Mo; 11 grandchildren, Brittany McCormack, Mandy Hente, James Singleton, Forest Kincaid, Ashley Singleton-Gossett, Alex Kincaid, Jack McCormack, Christopher Singleton, Dakota Erdly, Jayda Sadler and Lili Sadler.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Singleton; and stepfather, James T. Singleton of Cape Girardeau; father, Lloyd B. Moss of Dexter, Mo.; and a stepson, Derek J. Hale of Manassas, Va.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating. Vocalist will be Alisha Curtis. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ron Moss, Jason Singleton, Kenneth Hale, Terry Hale, Benny Johnson, Steve Cook and Brittany McCormack.

Honorary pallbearers will be Genetha Johnson, Jo Rodgers, Pat Mungle, Susan Eaton, Ron Hale and Tony Carter.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
