LILLY V. SUMMERS

SIKESTON -- Lilly Violet Summers, 81, of Mayfield, Ky., formerly of Sikeston, died Thursday, March 16, 1995, at Volunteer General Hospital in Martin, Tenn.

She was born March 27, 1913, in Foreman, Ill., daughter of Peter and Myrtle Huckleberry Gore. She and Leo Summers were married Feb. 25, 1929. He died Feb. 4, 1967.

Survivors include a son, Jimmie Summers of Sikeston; two daughters, Shirley Finney of Windfall, Ind., and Audrey Sterling of Mayfield, Ky.; a sister, Goldie Carlisle of Crosby, Texas; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 3:30-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral service will be at the chapel at 2 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. John Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Essex Cemetery at Essex.
