Lilly Marie Cordia, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, April 26, 2010, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
She was born Jan. 27, 1927, in Cape Girardeau to William and Mary Julia Cook Brandon.
Cordia was a graduate of St. Mary High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University. She taught school in Richwoods, Mo. She was a member of St. Mary Cathedral and Navy Mothers.
Survivors include five sons, Henry Cordia and wife Pam of Phoenix, James Cordia and wife Verna of Oak Ridge, David Cordia of Jackson, Wayne Cordia of Cape Girardeau, Ralph Cordia and wife Cindy of Wichita, Kan.; two daughters, Helen Farrar and husband Mike of Friedheim, Mo., Alice Cordia of Cape Girardeau; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, four sisters and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 6.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society or Southeast Hospice.
