SIKESTON, Mo. -- Lillie Bell Shelby, 88, of Sikeston died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews, Mo.
She was born April 10, 1915, near Matthews, daughter of Spurlin and Birdie Duke Beck Sr. She and Harley Shelby were married July 11, 1936, at New Madrid, Mo. He died July 1, 1984.
Shelby was a member of North Acres General Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Annabelle Merideth of Sikeston; four brothers, Spurlin Beck Jr., Joe and Billy Beck, all of Sikeston, Woodrow Beck of Matthews; four sisters, Charlene Humphrey of Dickson, Tenn., Thelma McDonald, Motel Smith and Jewel Harber, all of Sikeston; and a grandson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Steve Tippen will officiate. Burial will be in Sikeston Garden of Memories Cemetery.
