DOOLITTLE -- Lillie Emma Hickam, 83, of Doolittle died Sunday, April 20, 1997, at her home.
She was born Feb. 26, 1914, at Patterson, daughter of Curtis and Julia Ann Payton Goforth. She and Henry D. Hickam were married Oct. 11, 1936, at Marble Hill.
Hickam had owned and operated a nursing home. She was a member of Doolittle Baptist Church, and was formerly of Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Russell Hickam of St. Charles, Michael Hickam of Eureka; three daughters, Patricia Purdy, Wanda Est and Joyce Brown, all of St. Charles; three sisters, Lena Cline of Piedmont, Lucy Crum of Pacific, Elizabeth Ellis of Corning, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Dry Creek Cemetery near Marble Hill.
