Graveside service for Lillie Gertrude Clifton, 1408 N. Water, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Lorimier Cemetery. The Rev. Cy Smith will officiate.

There is no visitation.

Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Clifton, 98, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 1995, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.

She was born Aug. 4, 1897, in Perry County, daughter of George and Elizabeth Truitt Sandlin. She and Ira Nathaniel Clifton were married Dec. 12, 1915, at Crosstown. He died July 22, 1988.

Survivors include a daughter, Desta Strickland of Cape Girardeau, and a grandson.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and three sisters.
