CHARLESTON -- Lillian Winchester, 99, of Charleston died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 11, 1899, in Charleston, daughter of Luke and Barbara Bastain Anderson.
She lived most of her life in Charleston where she was employed as a bookkeeper with Winchester Chevrolet Co. until her retirement in 1958. She was a lifelong and the oldest member of the First Baptist Church.
On May 26, 1922 in Charleston, she married William Henderson Winchester. He died in December 1973.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Waggener of Houston, Texas; a brother, Luke Anderson of Evansville, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Two sons, a brother and three sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Charleston, with the Rev. Gerald Collier officiating.
Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
