Lillian Marygold Strong, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at Beverly Health Care Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born on Jan. 5, 1918, in Neelys Landing, Mo., daughter of Charles and Stella Unger Walker. She married William "Jack" Strong on April 3, 1937. He died Nov. 5, 1984...

Lillian Marygold Strong, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at Beverly Health Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on Jan. 5, 1918, in Neelys Landing, Mo., daughter of Charles and Stella Unger Walker.

She married William "Jack" Strong on April 3, 1937. He died Nov. 5, 1984.

She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Cape Girardeau where she was pianist for many years.

She had been employed as a seamstress at Imperial Interior and Rust and Martin.

Survivors include three sons, Jack Strong of Jonesboro, Ark., Jim Strong of Sedgewickville Mo., and Junior Strong of Kellyville, Okla.; a brother, Billy Walker of Jackson, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at First Church of the Nazarene in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Bill Burke and the Revs. Ken and Nancy Strong.

Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City was in charge of arrangements.
