Lillian J. Smith, 78, of Jackson died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Heartland Care and Rehab in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 4, 1926, in Advance, Mo., daughter of Comelous and Althea Zimmerman Cox. She and Harry Smith were married in August 1947 at Sikeston, Mo.
Smith retired as a school cook in St. Louis. She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include a brother, C.G. Cox of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Virginia Smith and Ilene Hitt of Advance; and a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, two brothers and three sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Green-Cox Cemetery near Advance. Bert Croy will officiate.
Morgan Funeral Home in Advance is in charge of arrangements.
