CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Lillian C. Hester, 93, of Dawsonville, Ga., formerly of Chaffee, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at Gold City Convalescent Center in Dahlonega, Ga.
She was born Aug. 30, 1915, at Delta, daughter of Ross and Ellen Barker Hester.
Lillian retired from Florsheim Shoe Factory in Chaffee, where she worked in the lining department. She was a member of the Church of God Prophecy in Delta.
Survivors include a son, Rossell A. (Modean) Hester of Dawsonville; a brother, Bob (Ruby) Hester of Chaffee; three grandchildren, Ava Turner of Cumming, Ga., Teresa Hewatt of Dawsonville, Evondia Woessner of Blountsville, Ala.; a special niece, Susan Hester of Chaffee; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and three sisters.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dan Baggett officiating. Burial will be in Kenyon Cemetery at Delta.
