ALTENBURG -- Lillian E. Wachter, 74, Altenburg Star Route, died Friday, July 16, 1993, at Deal Nursing Home in Jackson.
She was born March 2, 1919, at Commerce, daughter of Benjamin and Hattie Meyr Haertling. She and Otto "Chip" Wachter were married Feb. 8, 1941, in St. Louis. He died Dec. 2, 1967.
Wachter was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at New Wells, and its Ladies Aid.
Survivors include three sons, Marty Wachter of Old Appleton, Kenneth Wachter of Jackson, Charles Wachter of New Wells; two daughters, Marlene Scholl and Janet Statler of Jackson; a brother, Vernon Haertling of Jackson; two sisters, Helen Richter of Cape Girardeau, Melva Schaupert of Perryville; 14 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Church. The Rev. Walter Patzwitz will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
