Lila Lee Bryant, 86, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at Southeast Hospital. She was born March 20, 1931, in Stoddard County, Missouri, to the late Marion and Dorothy Burchett Jackson. Lila and Jewell W. Bryant were married April 14, 1948, in Advance, Missouri. Lila Lee Bryant, 86, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at Southeast Hospital.

She was born March 20, 1931, in Stoddard County, Missouri, to the late Marion and Dorothy Burchett Jackson. Lila and Jewell W. Bryant were married April 14, 1948, in Advance, Missouri. He preceded her in death Oct. 13, 1994.

Lila attended Bethany Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, crocheting and working puzzles. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. Later in life, she worked at several local businesses, including Super D, Walmart and State Beauty Supply.

She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

Loving survivors include daughters, Brenda Kasten of Cape Girardeau, Deborah Weaver of Covington, Louisiana, and Vicki Ewing of Cape Girardeau; brothers, Ron Massey of Bloomfield, Missouri, Jim Massey of Exeter, California, and Roger (Yvonne) Massey of St. Louis; sisters, Mildred Looney of Oldsmar, Florida, and Pansy McGee and Velva (Mike) Buehler, both of Advance; grandchildren, Chris (Kelly) Kasten of Cape Girardeau, Adam (Emily) Hannaford of St. Peters, Missouri, and Addie (Zach) Spencer of Jefferson City, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Calla Kasten and Millie and Ila Spencer; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, William Massey; and three brothers, Ed, Joe and Richard Massey.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home, with Dr. Shawn Wasson officiating. Burial will follow at Baker Cemetery in Marble Hill, Missouri.

Memorial contributions may be given to Bethany Baptist Church.
