PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Liam Dean Riney, 10, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born April 11, 2011, in St. Louis.

Liam was a student and member of St. Vincent de Paul in Perryville. Liam loved to play his Nintendo Switch, Fortnite, Mine Craft and Pokemon. He also enjoyed collecting Pokemon and Yu-Gi-OH cards. Snuggling his dogs and cats while lounging around the house, building with Legos and watching "Harry Potter" were some of his favorite things to do. He also enjoyed riding his bike and playing outside.

He is survived by his parents, Jessica (Thomas) Grayson of Perryville and Matt (Brittany) Riney of Perryville; sisters, Makenna, Harper, Josephine and Teagan; maternal grandmother, Geneva Bollinger of Perryville; paternal grandparents, Brad (Linda) Riney of Perryville; stepgrandparents, Thomas R. (Glenda) Grayson of Perryville and Robert (Bonnie) Clements of Perryville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Bollinger, and paternal grandfather, Robert Clements.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 27 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Dec. 28 at the church. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
