Lewis Edward Bowen, 95, of Millersville died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girar­deau.
He was born May 2, 1912, in Savannah, Tenn., son of Thomas Young and Mary Elizabeth Turner Bowen. He and Kathleen Hunt were married April 16, 1928. She died March 9, 1944. He then married Ida Mae Bowers Sept. 1, 1945. She died July 28, 1990. He and Barbara Jean Mayberry were married in 1991. She died Dec. 21, 2003.
Bowen worked at Thompson Farms Packing Co. in Chicago, retiring in 1974.
Survivors include four sons, Arnold Bowen of Millersville, Larry Bowen of Gordonville, Lewis Bowen of Marston, Mo., Bobby Bowen of Moody, Mo.; four daughters, Jo Ann Dickman and Shirl Bowen of Jackson, Joy Hill of Cape Girardeau, Betty Graciaus of Indian Head Hills, Ill.; 30 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, two daughters, five brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Luther Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
