Letha C. Mandrelle, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Oct. 14, 1913, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of C.O. and Katie Vancil Dawson.
Mrs. Mandrelle attended Red Star Baptist Church. She worked at Rigdon and then Tipton Laundry more than 30 years as production supervisor. She was a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau.
Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Clarence "Sonny" Mandrelle and wife Peggy of Plainfield, Ill., Jack Mandrelle and wife Cleta of Jackson; two daughters, Nancy Boren and husband Ray and Jo Ann Drum and husband Larry, all of Cape Girardeau; a special friend, Mary Sample of Cape Girardeau; a daughter-in-law, Doris Dawson of Cape Girardeau; a niece, Dorothy Simmons of Jefferson, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, a brother and a grandchild.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
