GLEN ALLEN -- Letha M. White, 76, of Glen Allen, died Friday, Feb. 24, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 14, 1919, in Haleyville, Ala., daughter of John and Bertha Weeks Vickery. She and William H. White were married Sept. 12, 1940. He died May 18, 1987.
White had been a nurse aide, and was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church in Haleyville. She moved to Glen Allen in 1988 from Haleyville.
Survivors include two sons, James Grubbs of Glen Allen, Wallace White of Haleyville; two daughters, Edna Short of Glen Allen, Sara Brabandt of King, N.C.; three sisters, Audrey Reed and Mae Cowart of Winfield, Ala., Grace Ables of state of Florida; 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, six brothers and three sisters.
Liley Funeral Home at Marble Hill was in charge of local arrangements.
Friends may call at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville from 5-9 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sand Springs Church, with the Rev. Bruce Darnell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
