LETHA DRISSELL

Memorial service for Letha A. Drissell of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. July 19 at Vineyard Funeral Home in Festus. Don Bass will officiate.

Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Drissell, 90, died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at Heartland Care and Rehab Center.

She was born Dec. 20, 1906, at Fredericktown, daughter of Samuel and Cora Freeland Mitts. She and Walter R. Drissell were married May 18, 1928, at Crystal City. He died Sept. 26, 1993.

Drissell attended William Woods College at Fulton. She taught grade school in Crystal City from 1940-45. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include a son, Brian Drissell of Parker, Colo.; a daughter, Nancy Renfrow of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters.
